One of the most popular German festivals is held in Hildesheim in August. We usually visit the festival because our favorite bands are there. This year also the Saturday and the Sunday were very strong. You could find electro and gothic bands as well.

 On the main stage the Krypteria was the first band we saw. However we hadn’t known the band before we saw them this year, our impression was very positive. The singer is very beautiful, and what is most important her voice is amazing.  Strong voice is emerging from the dynamic guitars. My friend just told: I like gothic music, but what I prefer is always a little bit metal. And this band gives you a small metal with a lot of guitar.
The Birthday Massacre hasn’t been concerting for a long time in Europe, that is why we wanted to see them again. Chibi was great again; her voice is still like a Japan Manga figure. A little girl singing with a little bit harder music is also a good combination of rock and sweet voices. Unfortunately I miss a little bit of meaning of the whole band: I try to find the message of the songs, but till this time I haven’t been able to. But if you would like to enjoy a light concert do not miss the BM!
The next one is my favorite: the Blutengel is a German band leading by Chris Pohl. If you have ever been in a German festival I am sure that you have already met him. The songs were great: some selection of the new album, and some older songs like Love Killer, and Bloody Pleasure, Nightmare, The dream, darkest night… Actually I would have been satisfied with the concert but the new dancers made me disappointed. Sonja was a great dancer and made wonderful coreography. These girls are very pretty, but I had the feeling that they move to a different music. I think Blutengel is a very sexual band, and I do not want to see electro dance. I miss my favorite dancer who was so sexy, and felt this so much that cannot be replaced as easy as they thought!

Peter Heppner was on the stage next. During WGT I hadn’t had the chance to see the ex singer of Bauhaus, but one of my friends told me he gave a wonderful concert in Leipzig. When I saw him at the first time I thought he is a very shy guy, and I appreciate that he was so thankful for each scream and handclap. And I liked it! A man who has beautiful voice and give such a great show that everybody is so satisfied can be still the simple thankful Peter who was at the first time.
Apocaliptyca is a different story, if I were in Finland I would say: Hyyvä!  Four crazy guys were on the stage, and full house in front of the band. We can hear the Bittersweet and several songs from the latest and the oldest album as well. We could see a little fight between the instruments giving cracking voice. My friend told me if one of the strings is broken Perttu can change then in 3 seconds. Good to know! However it is a gothic-electro festival this year is a paradise for people prefers Finish, metal, folk music. I can see many people with heartagrams, looks like Ville Valo from HIM. I prefer electronic music, but this concert is a amazing: The guys talk to the fans ( Yess…finish accent is wonderful), playing hard, and satisfy everybody.

The other Finish band is different: since Tarja left the band, Nightwish started to be a little bit pop. Although the music is still metal the singer’s voice is not enough strong to race with the guitars. I feel that the whole band has been changed: the Wish master is not anymore the same, unfortunately not in the right direction. We can say the light and the show is still the same but I miss the most important feeling the mysterious voice! In the middle of the concert after a great firework all the sounds were off. There was around 2 songs time when they could prepare the equipments. The “Evil of the technic” left the show continued and we went to bed!
